CYBER CELL by ANGELA ARCHER

“Think Asimov’s ‘I Robot’ with elements of Besson’s ‘5th Element’ and ‘Lawnmowerman’. A great read, detailed characters and a unique plot in an oft saturated subgenre. Thoroughly enjoyable.”

Tony Falconer- White, Amazon reviewer.

The blurb....

Cyber Cell is a soberingly realistic new thriller with a noir/tech vibe. Featuring tense action, gripping twists and a slice of future possibility.

Detective Brogan hates a lot of things, mostly himself. When a murder on his doorstep leads him down a dark path, his past, present, and future collide.

As the investigation unravels, Brogan uncovers a sinister plot. Somehow, somewhere, someone is remotely killing kids hardlined into the Grid.

The closer Brogan gets to finding the truth, the closer he comes to getting killed for it. Can he live long enough to untangle the web of lies before more kids die, or will the next funeral be his?

5/5
A gripping storyline with engaging characters and hints at a dramatic backstory have left me hungry for the next book in the series.

About Angela

I write horror and sci-fi stories. I really like creating characters that reflect the complexities of real life. Whether they’re dealing with past trauma or dealing with a present trauma I’m super mean and put them in shitty situations (insert evil laughter).

The first horror novel I read was James Herbert’s, Lair. The first sci-fi/fantasy book I read was The Carpet People by Sir Terry Pratchett. Ok so it’s more fantasy than sci-fi but I’ve been really inspired by Pratchett’s ability to create vivid images in my mind. Here’s one of my favourite quotes…

“If you trust in yourself…and believe in your dreams…and follow your star…you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren’t so lazy.”

Nice one Terry – I’d better get working!
